The Alcohol and Drug Counseling certificate offers courses required for Alcohol and Drug Counselor licensure allowing clinical mental health counseling students and Mental Health professionals in the field to gain the education necessary to hold this specialty license. After completing the certificate, students will have the knowledge and ability to apply ethical standards of the profession. Students will develop a culturally diverse population perspective of addiction counseling including interventions to treat various client populations, understanding of theories of addiction and addictive behaviors, and be able to demonstrate application of individual and group counseling theories, assessments, and interview skills, to address client concerns. 

Coursework is pre-approved to lead to licensure in the state of Nebraska; those residing elsewhere should check that the course requirements are the same to obtain licensure in their state or country.

The Professional Sales Certificate is designed for those who are interested in developing or enhancing their overall sales knowledge to either pursue a career in sales or to advance themselves in the field of professional sales. This may include students who are not seeking a degree, working professionals, or students who are seeking a degree.  The primary goal of the certificate is to focus on business-to-business sales and to prepare students for the sales force with the skills to utilize limited resources efficiently and effectively, as well as to understand and properly implement marketing strategies.
